SOE Policy Dialogue
Taking off from the best practices and general policy recommendations gathered during the forum titled From State-Owned Enterprises to World Class Competitors: Creating Innovative and Entrepreneurial State-Owned Firms last November 11, 2009, the Asian Institute of Management Policy Center in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will conduct a policy roundtable discussion for Philippine government officials and officers of Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations to discuss the following:
(a) Best Asian practices and how to replicate them
(b) National Government objectives and SOEs and
(c) Policy Framework for continuing SOE performance enhancement.
This dialogue primarily aims to identify key reform areas which will hopefully be translated to policy instruments for legislators and policy-makers such as Cabinet Secretaries and the Office of the President to improve SOE performance in the country.
